FAQ

Helpful Information

WHAT DO YOU DO IF IT RAINS?

We still have class outside! We have class outside every day, no matter what the weather. As long as they are dressed appropriately, kids love being out in the rain and splashing in puddles. We believe there is no such thing as bad weather, but there are poor clothing choices. When you enroll your child, we will suggest specific clothing to keep your child warm and dry.

WHAT DO YOU DO IF IT SNOWS?

That would be amazing!! We rarely get snow days in Mukilteo, but when we do it provides us with some of our most exciting days in the forest! If driving conditions are too hazardous, class may be canceled.

WHAT DO YOU DO IN EXTREME WEATHER?

Nature Together follows the Mukilteo School District lead. You can find out whether the Mukilteo School District has cancelled classes by checking their website (https://www.mukilteoschools.org). If Mukilteo schools are cancelled due to extreme weather, Nature Together is also cancelled.

In the case of high wind advisories, Nature Together will NOT be heading into the forest for safety reasons and class will be canceled.

There will be no refunds in the case of extreme weather cancelations.

WHAT DO YOU DO IF MY CHILD HAS TO USE THE BATHROOM?

One of the teachers will walk your child out of the forest to the portable toilet near the community garden. Encourage your child to use the bathroom at home before class begins.

WHAT IF MY CHILD IS SICK?

In light of our current situation and possibility of Covid-19, we require all children to stay home if they show any signs of illness. If your child has a runny nose, fever, cough, diarrhea, vomiting, or any other signs of not feeling well, please keep them home.

WHERE ARE YOUR CLASSES LOCATED?

Our preschool program is located at the community garden shelter (4407 76th St SW, Mukilteo, WA 98275) at Japanese Gulch south trailhead. We will use the garden shelter and the surrounding woods of the gulch.

WHAT IF I NEED TO WITHDRAW MY CHILD FROM CLASS?

Nature Together depends on tuition to operate, but we understand that unforeseen events can occur and withdrawal may be required. If you choose to withdraw your child from our program, we require that you give us a two week written notice to allow possible tuition refunds and also to open enrollment to others.

Please see our Preschool Handbook for details on the refund policy.

IF I WANT TO SIGN MY CHILD UP FOR MULTIPLE DAYS OF PRESCHOOL, HOW DOES PRICING WORK?

We structure our class schedule to provide flexibility for families. This allows Nature Together classes to fit in around any traditional preschool classes that students might be attending.

Example: Your child attends a traditional Monday-Wednesday-Friday preschool class. You choose to enroll them in Nature Together Preschool on Tuesday AND Thursday. If tuition is $1000 for the school year per Nature Together class day, and you enroll them in both Tuesday and Thursday, your tuition would be $2000.
