Teacher

Hi, my name is Lauren Vicars and I’m so excited to be working as a preschool teacher this year.

I graduated with a masters of Speech Language Pathology in 2015 from Fontbonne University in St. Louis and since then have worked in a variety of settings as a Speech Therapist including early childhood home visits, our local doctor’s office, and our local elementary school.

My husband and I have 3 young boys and have just recently moved to the PNW a little over a year ago from Missouri. We have absolutely fallen in love with all the PNW has to offer and we’ve taken full advantage of what a privilege it is to live here by hiking almost every weekend. In 2023, we’ve hiked 44 unique trails with our boys and are set to reach our goal of 52 before the year ends!

I very much believe that spending time in nature is incredibly important for young children. I feel so grateful and excited that I get to be a forest school teacher to help foster a love and respect for being in natural places!
