2024 Nature Together Lantern Walk
This is our favorite event of the year! Celebrate the winter solstice with a walk through the woods. We leave as the sun sets and hike through the gulch with lanterns. It's a magical experience!

About the Event
The winter solstice marks the beginning of the winter season in the Northern Hemisphere, and the longest night of the year. The solstice is significant to many cultures, religions, and traditions, for many different reasons.
For the Nature Together community, it has become a special evening for our students, friends and families to gather as we welcome the peaceful quiet that the darker, colder months of the year can bring.
DETAILS
We will meet outside the Mukilteo community garden located at 7609 44th Ave W, Mukilteo. Parking is available.Â
We will head into the woods PROMPTLY at 4:00pm so please arrive ahead of time.
This event is entirely outside so please dress appropriately for the weather....layer up!
The gulch can be muddy so wear shoes you don't mind getting dirty.
The walk through the woods is an in and out loop and will be dark on the way out. It is a natural path and NOT suitable for strollers.
Free cookies will be offered at the half way point of the hike.
Please leave pets at home.Â
Bring a flashlight or a homemade lantern with a battery operated light. No candles, please.
