Teacher

Hi, my name is Annamarie Wight and I am so excited to be a part of Nature Together.

I was born and raised right here in Mukilteo, and I’ve grown up playing at the Mukilteo Beach and the gulch my entire life. I am currently finishing up my Associates Degree so that I can transfer and get my Bachelors in Education and become a teacher. I have three older brothers and two of them have kids of their own now. When I was growing up my mom started her own business running a daycare at our house. Working with my mom and helping with my nieces and nephews helped me discover that I wanted to be a teacher.

Nature Together is going to be a great experience for me working with kids of all ages, and I am so excited to be doing it outdoors. This past year I got to volunteer at Glenwood Elementary in Lake Stevens. In the last few years I have realized the importance of being outside in nature and connecting with the environment around me. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, being with my family and I have also really fallen in love with fitness and nutrition recently. I love animals, I have two cats named Benji and Colby and a dog named Emmie.
